William inherited a railroad fortune and was president of Colorado's New London Gold Mine. The Jewett Estate was a Mediterranean Revival style villa in Pasadena in 1915 by architects Marston, Van Pelt & Maybury. These 7 photographs were in the collection of Ruperto Nava of San Gabriel, a fulltime groundskeeper of the Estate until 1945.
