On a piece of paper taped to the back of the photograph is the following: "LOCAL STUDENTS PLACE FIRST IN B OF A AWARDS PROGRAM ...Eight area community college students won top honors in the area event competition for Bank of America's Community College Awards program. The competition was held MARCH 26, at MOUNT SAN ANTONIO COMMUNITY COLLEGE in WALNUT. Congratulating the winners is Event Chairman DR. RAYMOND F. ELLERMAN, CHANCELLOR SAN BERNARDINO COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT, left. Second from left is ELISE TRAYNUM, CHAFFEY COLLEGE, and SHARON BOISVERT, SAN BERNARDINO VALLEY COLLEGE, winners in the Social Sciences-Humanities category and SCOTT ANDERSON, PASADENA CITY COLLEGE, and SHERI ERLEWINE, CITRUS COLLEGE, winners in the Technical-Vocational category. BANK OF AMERICA Managerr, David Williams, right was the coordinator for the semi-final competition. Each student is guaranteed a minimum cash prize of $500 and may win up to $2,500 in cash awards at the final selection event which will be held APRIL 24."
