Traffic Safety Week
Announced by Quealy
Joe Quealy, president of Alpha
Lambda Epilson, PCC’s law en¬
forcement fraternity, announces
that this week is Traffic Safety
Week on campus.
Traffic Safety Week, put on to
emphasize cautious di'iving dur¬
ing the Christmas holidays, went
into effect Monday with a bar¬
rage of safety fliers circulated
on campus by the fraternity mem¬
bers. Particular emphasis is be¬
ing put on the use of safety belts.
During the week a display will
be held in the Campus Center
patio. “The Great Holiday Mas¬
sacre,” was shown in Sexson Aud¬
itorium, at noon yesterday. To¬
morrow the film, “Mechanized
Death,” dealing with traffic sta¬
tistics, and studies done with seat
belts at UCLA, will be shown.
Both films are in color. Admis¬
sion is free for ASB cardholders,
and 25 cents for non-cardholders.
Alpha Lambda Epsilon recently
held a Law Enfoi-cement Com¬
munity Relations Day, which dis¬
played representatives from the
Los Angeles and Pasadena Police
Departments, the Los Angeles
County Sheriffs Department, and
campus security.
The fraternity also serves the
campus by supplying security at

Two facets of the present park¬
ing problem were discussed in
the ASB Board Meeting Thursday.
The Board is planning to write
a draft of pax-king recommenda¬
tions to present to Dx-. Armen
Sarafian, the College Council, the
Board of Trustees, and ultimately
to the City of Pasadena. One pos¬
sible request is that the city re¬
move the one-hour restrictions
surrounding the campus in def¬
erence to two-hour restrictions.
The bleachers being erected in
the northwestern pax-king lot for
the Tournament of Roses Parade,
have temporarily forced many
students to pax-k in the streets.
The ASB Board discussed using
part of the profits gained by the
seat sales to pay for parking tick¬
ets incurred by resulting viola¬
tions.

busy schedule with Mrs. Barbara Jones Miller eightieth annual Tournament of Roses Parade
('50) and Eileen Kondler ('68), two former on January 1.
“UNDER THE BOARDWALK," “Up on the Roof," and in the Cam¬
pus Center Friday night, will be the Drifters. Along with the Sher¬
rilles, they will do two shows during the dance. Dress will be
casual. Tickets are available now at the College Bank.
Hip Hypnotist Pat Collins
Planned for Sexson in January
“Hip hypnotist” Pat Collins will
be featured in PCC’s last assem¬
bly of the fall semester.
The assembly will be held Jan¬
uary 16, at noon, in Sexson Aud¬
itorium.
Miss Collins, “a beautiful
blonde,” is noted for having hyp¬
notized many Hollywood actors
and acti-esses in her act. She
spices the act with humor and
song.
She uses volunteers from the
audience, puts them into trances
and proceeds to go into a series
of fantastic, ridiculous, and amus¬
ing feats.
Linda Christian, who had just
broken her engagement with
Glenn Ford, was hypnotized one
night, and when told that Glenn
was in the empty chair next to
her, she began addressing the
chair as a rat.
When Miss Collins put Lloyd
Bridges under, he went swim¬
ming through the audience.
She hypnotized Jill St. John and
told her she was Dinah Shox-e.
Miss St. John immediately burst
out with her version of “See the
U.S.A. in Your Chevrolet.”
Miss Collins has played at such
places as the Interlude, Basin
Street East, the Showboat Hotel,
and many others.
