Eric Johnson — Has devoted his
efforts to college debating, in
which he has won top honors, and
to student government as Sopho¬
more Class president. He served
as Circle

treasurer, as well as
on the AMS Board, consistently
meeting his responsibilities with
efficiency and an enthusiastic
manner.
Diane Meyer — Has contributed
a tremendous amount of service
to the women’s physical education
department in organization of all
activities. She is a member of
WAA, treasurer of the Women’s
Letter Club, a member of Spar¬
tans.
Norman Shapiro — Outstanding
student in the photography de¬
partment. He has been responsi¬
ble for most of the pictures used
for the Courier, yearbook, and
athletic publicity. His work has
extended far beyond normal class¬
room responsibilities, and has in¬
volved hours of skill and outside
time.
Nancy Toolter — Active student
in debating, the AWS Board,
Spartans, and through her post of
commissioner of international stu¬
dent activities. She has initiated
Big Brother-Big Sister activities,
effective orientation of incoming
foreign students, mix and mingle
conversation hours, and a recog¬
nition tea for foreign students.
Cheryl Whitmore — President of
the Pep Commission as well as
head song girl. Both these posi¬
tions have demanded hours of
outside work, planning, and un¬
selfish service. Her expert organi¬
zation and lively personality have
Election Rally
The patio of the Campus Center
will be tlie scene of an informal
dance to meet all election can¬
didates Tuesday at noon. The
dance will serve as an election
rally, and will give some of the
candidates an opportunity to
present their platforms to the
student body. Mtisic for the
dance will be provided by a live
band, and the dance will last
about an hour. Elections will
take place at different locations
on campus next Thursday and
Friday. All polls will be open
from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Omicron Mu Delta, PCC’s high¬
est honorary society tapped 12
students and five honorary mem¬
bers into its ranks this morning
during its semi-annual assembly.
Those students selected for the
honor on the basis of extraordin¬
ary and unselfish service were:
Robert Brotnow — Has faithful¬
ly served the college as vice-presi¬
dent of Circle K. His mature
leadership and willing help have
made many campus activities a
success. He has also served as
sergeant-at-arms in AMS, vice-
president of Alpha Gamma Sigma,
and as a member of Rep Council.
Paul Ehni — President of the So¬
cial Affairs Commission and mem¬
ber for three semesters. This po¬
sition has involved countless
hours of work in planning Lan¬
cer social events. He has also
served on the Elections Commis¬
sion, the Student Curriculum
Committee, and the Campus
Clean-up Committee.
Mike Fisher — Named outstand¬
ing freshman male student last
year. His enthusiasm and service
have continued this semester. He
was president last year of the
Pep Commission, initiating color¬
ful and original pep stunts. He is
also active in the business depart¬
ment, where he commanded great
respect for his efficiency as vice-
president of the Junior Execu¬
tives Club. He is a member of
Circle K.
John Henninger — Extraordinary
contributor to the drama and art
departments. He has consistently
been a "behind the scenes” worker
for college theatrical productions.
He personally put in over 200
hours of work in designing and
making costumes for the past two
casts. As president of the Art
Council, he has been responsible
for exhibits, attractive bulletin ar¬
rangements, and an efficient, ac¬
tive group.
Jeff Hess — Served this semes¬
ter as vice-president of the Asso¬
ciated Student Body. He is also
chairman of the Model United Na¬
tions group at PCC, an active

brought new life to the PCC
sports spirit. She has also served
as Freshman Council secretary
and AWS secretary.
Gail Williams — Recognized for
outstanding service in journalism.
As editor of the Courier this se¬
mester and editor of the award¬
winning yearbook last year, she
has proven her extraordinary
journalistic ability, tact, mature
judgment, and leadership. She has
also served as president of Beta
Phi Gamma, English Council, and
member of the Student Curricu¬
lum Committee.
Pauline Brown — Recognized for
untiring and unselfish service as
adviser to WAA, Women’s Letter
Club, and Spartans. The many
extra things Miss Brown has
done, along with her enthusiasm
and devotion, have made her an
outstanding student adviser.
John Christopher — As president
of the PCC Faculty Association,
his voluntary efforts have been
directed toward improving facul¬
ty status. His concern for better
college conditions and relations
have made the Faculty Associa¬
tion a dynamic and growing or¬
ganization.
Minnie Eriksson — Over 20 years
of service in the Admissions and
Records Office have been given
by Mrs. Eriksson. As the present
supervisor of the office, students
are given prompt and courteous
service in handling of transcripts
and college records.
Lucille Irvine — As adviser to
two major organizations, the As¬
sociated Women Students and the
Secretarial Club, Mrs. Irvine has
contributed her time, interest, and
hard work far beyond the line of
duty. Under her guidance these
two clubs have become active par¬
ticipants in the college scene.
A r m e n Sarafian — Recognized
for extraordinary interest in Pas¬
adena youth. As adviser to the
Pasadena Youth Council and
head of the Student Curriculum
Committee, Dean Sarafian has be¬
come an admired administrator.
