- Built in 1901, this structure was the second Raymond Hotel, a major resort hotel in the San Gabriel Valley. Built by Mr. Walter Raymond of Raymond & Whitcomb Travel Agency of Boston, Massachusetts, it replaced the original structure which burned to the ground in 1895. The hotel sat atop what was known as Bacon Hill and was renamed to Raymond Hotel when the first structure was completed.
