- Description
- After the Air Force, Stephen Mack III sold insurance for Metropolitan Life in Pasadena, worked for Brush Instruments on Foothill Blvd., worked for Electrical Optical Systems on Foothill Boulevard, before joining the LAPD in 1969. He was a correctional officer at Parker Center. In the 1970s, one of Stephen's duties was to take the "D" Wagon down to Fifth and Sixth near Los Angeles Street to pick up those who committed minor crimes. Officer Mack taught at LAPD Academy for a few years before retirement. Stephen was a member of the Pasadena NAACP and is a lifetime member of St. Barnabas Church.
