- Description
- Born near 1882 and considered a "mulatto" of Creole background, Stephen said he had "racial problems" in St. Louis and came to Pasadena near 1922. He was a gardener and active in the Holiness Church on Glorietta and Sunset. He was "quite a guy" and everybody in Pasadena knew him especially as he liked to sing. He passed away near 1953.
