- Description
- Photograph of two dancers in motion. It is not clear if this is a photograph of a performance or a class or rehersal, etc. In the photograph there are two dancers wearing leotards, tights and leg warmers. One is African American. She is in the front of the photograph and is bent over at the waist with her left leg stretched straight out to the side and her right leg bent at the knee. It looks like she is leaning towards the right. Her left arm is extended out in front of her with the elbow bent slightly. Her right arm is extended above shoulder height and back behind her. Her head is facing forward and she seems to be looking straight ahead. Behind her is the second dancer. She is turned so that she is facing left. She is balanced on the left leg raised slightly on her toes. Her right leg is lifted in front of her with the foot pointed. Her arms are extented straight behind her - it looks as if she has thrown them back and she is facing upward with her body curved backwards. Her figure is somewhat blurry which leads to the idea that the photograph was taken when the dancers were in motion. The photograph was taken in what looks like a dance studio or gym. The floor is wooden and the walls are plain. There is a light fixture recessed into the ceiling inthe top right corner of the photograph.
