Description
Photograph of woman wearing a dark dress with what looks like a straw hat with flowers around the crown speaking at a podium on the quad. Behind her is a row of chairs with men in suits seated in them. There is one empty chair with a light colored sweater or jacket draped over it. It looks like the podium, etc have been set up on the stairs leading to the Campus Center. At the base of the stairs and facing them are rows of chairs with people in them - apparantly listening to the speaker. There are also students standing at the back and to the sides of the audience. The photograph was taken looking east from the steps leading to the campus Center.The building to the left is the D Building and to the right is the C Building. In the bottom right hand corner is a California State Flag. It is not possible to identify what this event was.
