Campus Publications

Publications created by students, faculty and staff on the college campus.  This list is still under construction.  We thank you for your patience.

A

Aspect

In 1968, a decision was made to stop publishing a campus yearbook.  In its place, at least for a few years, was a new magazine called Aspect.  The publication included articles on social issues that impacted the campus community, as well as photographs, art,  and even a coloring contest that awarded the winner a small cash prize.   During the 1969-70 school year, there were two issues released.   PCC's archive has one of the two, Spring of 1970.  The following year, there were to be eight issues.  The PCC archive has seven of these.  We're not sure how many issues were published in its final year, but the archives has four issues.  The Journalism Division of PCC at the PCC Press, under the direction of William E. Lindquist, published the magazine.

E

Engineering Magazine

Engineering Magazine was a PCC publication with content from faculty in the Engineering program. The publication launched in May of 1929 and was a biannual publication until 1933, when the schedule changed to once a year in April, May or June. PCC's archives hold the issues from 1929, 1930, and 1931. Missing are the two issues from 1932, and annual issues from 1933 and 1934. Years 1935, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1940, and 1941 complete the collection. As best we can tell, publication ceased with the June 1941 issue. Each issue contained articles related to various aspects of engineering and updates on the activities of the student Engineering Club. The club, at various points during the 10+ years of this publication, had a membership of 100+ members.
